Director of Member Services 

Report To: Executive Vice President 

Employment Status: Full-time

Basic Responsibilities: 

Nebraska Cattlemen is seeking a full-time team member in western Nebraska to serve as the Director of Member Services. The primary responsibilities of the Director of Member Services are to lead the member services department and be responsive to the needs of beef producers statewide. This position will handle a broad range of responsibilities for Nebraska Cattlemen including membership recruitment and retention, staffing of policy committee(s), attending and assisting and helping plan local affiliate meetings, and other duties as assigned. The Director of Member Services will be the conduit of information from membership to other staff and leadership.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead the member services department including managing member services field staffers.
  • Conduct member services activities, including NC membership recruitment and retention, member services for local affiliates and coordinating educational programs for NC members in their local areas.
  • Coordinate membership activities at local affiliate or regional meetings as requested.
  • Contribute to affiliate updates for local affiliates regarding upcoming events, deadlines, membership contests and other issues concerning membership.
  • Provide a monthly report of activities to the Executive Vice President relating member concerns, interest, and feedback from members.
  • Provide staff support to various NC Councils and Committees as assigned by the Executive Vice President.
  • Represent Nebraska Cattlemen in a professional manner at various local and state meetings, conventions and other events, including formal presentations at such events as assigned.
  • Attend various industry meetings, seminars and conferences to keep abreast of new industry information, research and technology applicable to program development.
  • Take photographs at various events and provide the photos in a timely manner to the communications department and contribute to social media, e-newsletters and the Nebraska Cattleman magazine.
  • Contribute to the membership database by editing member data, keeping affiliate leadership information updated, and assisting with association membership directories.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.

The Director of Member Services position is a full-time position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and will include travel expenses related to the position.
